On May 2012, John P. Paone, Jr. was appointed by the New Jersey State Bar Association as a member of the Judicial Prosecutorial Appointments Committee (JPAC). JPAC evaluates every candidate being considered by the governor as possible nominees for judicial appointments or reappointment to the Supreme Court and Superior Court, and for appointment or reappointment to the position of county prosecutor.
