Catherine Murphy, Esq. appointed as Chair of the Domestic Violence Legislative Committee of the Family Law Section of New Jersey’s State Bar Association

Catherine Murphy, Esq., a partner with the firm, has been appointed as Chair of the Domestic Violence Legislation Committee of FLEC, the Family Law Executive Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association, for the 2021-2022 term.  The Domestic Violence Legislation Committee monitors and analyzes proposed domestic violence legislation that impacts the practice of family law, presents the proposed legislation to the Executive Committee, and adopts a legislative position on behalf of the Family Law section. As Chair of the Domestic Violence Legislation Committee, Ms. Murphy will be responsible to oversee the review of that proposed legislation, and to coordinate with the General Legislation Committee.  In addition, Ms. Murphy will serve as one of four members of the General Legislation Committee.

Ms. Murphy is also an Associate Editor of the New Jersey Family Lawyer and is an active member of the Middlesex County, Monmouth County, and New Jersey State Bar Associations.
